Training Faculty

Educational Director: Jeremy Krauss

Jeremy was trained directly by Dr. Feldenkrais and has been studying and teaching the Feldenkrais Method for over 25 years. Jeremy was a personal student of Dr. Feldenkrais during the last years of his life. His book "Feldenkrais: The Way to Improve Personal Ability" has been published in Hebrew, Russian and German. ("Einfach Bewegan" - Junfermann Verlag) and is soon to be published in English. He is known as a teacher for his clear presentation of both the practical and theoretical aspects of the method and creates a very comfortable atmosphere for learning. Jeremy is also the Educational Director of Training Programs in Berlin (Germany), Rome (Italy), Vienna (Austria) and Yokohama (Japan). He teaches Advanced Trainings and Masters Classes worldwide. Besides his teaching Jeremy was chosen by the International Feldenkrais Federation (IFF) to translate major works of the archives of Dr. Feldenkrais and is a Member of the Feldenkrais European Training and Accreditation Board.
As educational director, Jeremy will teach 95 days and will be present 90% of the training program.

Training Faculty

The Training Faculty is varied so as to give as broad a perspective on the method as possible. The Trainers are Livia Calice, Carl Ginsburg, Paul Newton und Donna Ray.

Livia Calice

Livia is the director of the Feldenkrais Studiengesellschaft in Vienna. She is a trainer and teaches in training programs throughout the world. Her academic studies were in Romance languages and art history. Livia is fluent in German, English, French and Italian. She studied Carl Orff pedagogy and spent two years in India studying classical Indian dance. In her work with Feldenkrais trainees and performing artists Livia is most interested in the shifts of self perception that result from fine tuning one's body movements.

Carl Ginsburg PhD

He was trained as a scientist and later studied with Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. He has written extensively about the Feldenkrais® Method and at the request of Dr Feldenkrais, edited his workshop at Mann Ranch, which was published as "The Master Moves". He has been the Educational Director of many Feldenkrais® Training Programs in Europe and the USA.

Paul Newton

Paul is a qualified trainer, he's not only known for his pedagogical abilities, but also for his talent to create a very supportive learning situation. He teaches in Europe and the USA. At the moment, Paul lives in Paris, where he's codirecting with Myriam Pfeffer the Paris Feldenkrais training program. He's also directing the training in Hamm and Bad Windsheim II. Paul grew up in the United States, lived in Munich for 17 years and speaks German fluently.

Donna Ray

Donna Ray MA MFT is an internationally known Feldenkrais Teacher/Trainer and a licensed psychotherapist. She is the Educational Director of Professional Training Programs in Europe and the U.S and co-directs the Feldenkrais Southern Califonia Institute in San Diego California. Donna supervised a recent study of Feldenkrais for autism and has worked extensively with infants and children with special needs. She has maintained a private practice for 22 years helping people recover from trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, preparation for childbirth and with performing athletes.

Her Feldenkrais practice is richly enhanced by her training in Eriksonian Hypnosis, EMDR, Art Therapy, Dance and Martial Arts. Donna has taught at numerous professional conferences including the Omega Institute and the Esalen Institute.

Stephanie Koch (Continuity Assistant Trainer)

Stephanie completed her training in Vienna in 1995. She has been an Assistant Trainer since 2002. She maintains a private praxis in the Therapiezentrum at the Englische Garten in Munich. Stephanie took a six-year training in depth psychology with Hunter Beaumont and Gila Rogers. Currently she is training as a trauma therapist in the work of Peter Levine.
